Default Octoberfast 2021!

Took the Spyder to Daytona for the PCA Zone 12 Octoberfast event. For $20 one could take their car on the track (Rolex course) for 3 Charity Touring Track laps, which was a blast since a few of us would leave a lot of room between the car in front of us to allow us to open them up - triple digits on the back straight and some bank driving as well. After the 2nd lap though all the cars were brought into pit row and every driver was personally warned that there would be no more driving on the banks or leaving more than 2-3 car lengths of space...at least the first 2 laps were fun!

Nice. Parade lap + sports cars + $20 = what did they expect . I bet you could barely keep your laughter in when they were warning you.

Funny thing is they never mentioned any rules when you paid and got a sticker for your windshield!

I wish I had my car already... I'm only 15 minutes from the track. That looks like fun.

Actually, I just looked at the event schedule and they called it "Charity Track Touring" so I updated my initial post. Regardless of what it was called, a few of us had a lot of fun with no harm done to anyone, and insurance just in case.

Love the shot your passenger took as you approached the start/finish line.
The one showing you on the banking going over the line is also a 'keeper'.
What charity does the event support?

The pic taken of us at the start/finish line was taken by professionals (https://www.motorimages.com/) who attend most events - I bought that one but the others were taken by my wife and other PCA members. And this year's charity was Cure SMA.

A few more. The 2nd one was after the 2nd lap when everyone was directed onto pit lane and personally told to stay off the banks, etc.:
