I don’t know what’s worse, this thread or the “Have you kissed your Spyder” one…

Anyway, I did get him a little token of appreciation. Just a gesture. He did the same as he did the clear side markers for me and also got me a painted matching key FOB.
He really did an excellent job throughout the process. Just wondering if it is normal to do this. I have never gone through a process like this buying a car that takes almost a year. Hell, the dude is damn near family by now…haha!!
Thanks for the reminder. My guy deserves it, I will be doing this.

Dude didn't even give me a Porsche Keychain, he will be getting a lump of coal.

I did the PEC delivery and they gave me some nice gifts, a first class operation from top to bottom.

I don’t expect my SA to get me free stuff (sure that’s nice and all), I expect him/her to communicate accurately and update me within reason and without multiple emails and begging. I honestly get better service from my hair salon. And not even by a small amount.

so yeah a gift as a tip is well warranted for some SA’s. I unfortunately was not in a position to do so. the only tequila he would be getting would be getting ignited with much rage.

This thread, as well as the smooching one, remind me of doing a take out order. You go in to pick it up and the server is expecting a tip for handing it to you.

Haha. While I understand the sentiment, I do believe an SA for a car like this works a little harder. I would liken it to a real estate transaction. Realtors deal with a lot of crap…and sometimes it is not worth the commission.
But I fully agree with you about someone working a cash register expecting a tip.

Yeah, no. They’re just doing their job. And getting paid well for it.

My SA is providing LED front side markers and tinting the windows. He's been very good in communicating with me and providing advice along the way. Showed me several 981 Spyders before I actually ordered my 718, so I have to say that he done a good job for me.
