Sorry I never updated this thread.

I had my car in to the dealer to get its 4th new headlamp control unit on the passenger side in June 2023. At the same time the dealer replaced the HCU again, they also replaced the braided power cable that connects the HCU to the headlamp assembly. They had replaced the whole passenger side headlamp assembly on the 3rd try. But this 4th try is the first time they replaced this power cable This ~3 inch cable somehow costs $80+ from Porche (but it's a very nice looking braided cable!).

It has now been about 600 miles since the last new HCU was replaced along with the power cable, and the HCU is still working. I'm not ready to call it resolved yet, but the new HCU has outlived its recent peers by about 200 miles so far.

Hope this helps someone.
