We took Utah Scenic Byway 12 on the way from Moab to Springdale. The drive was spectacular, although we had to wait 30 minutes at this random red light along the way. We made the most of every daylight hour by stopping for a short hike in Bryce Canyon.

Zion was definitely the most beautiful scenery I saw on this trip. We weren't able to go into the Narrows due to dangerous conditions, but Angel's Landing was a steep, jaw-dropping and highly rewarding hike, despite the crowded trail.

From Springdale our next stop was Pioneertown just outside Joshua Tree... We stayed at the Pioneertown motel, which is a 3 minute walk from Pappy & Harriets where we caught a show by Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real

Last stop was LA, with a weekend round trip up Highway 1 to Santa Cruz, before being loaded on an Intercity transport together with this classic Rolls Royce

An Awesome thread, thanks for sharing the details of your trip with the addition of pictures, well done!

Do you mind sharing what the transport home for the Spyder cost?

Well done. We did this in a 2016 spyder a couple times and we made a side trip to Fairmount Indiana and visited James Dean's home town. Great Pictures. Isn't our country great driving?

Thanks!

Transportation was $2300 (before tips) from LA to Newark, NJ... took a little less than 2 weeks. Quite satisfied, and will do this again for my next trip (I'm thinking Seattle to Austin, hopefully next summer)

Thanks for the details, I live northwest of Seattle and would love to some touring on the east coast but that would be a lot of driving both ways, a transport one-way would make it a lot less daunting.

Great trip! I was going to suggest Utah 12, wonderful road. I drove my 944 Turbo from Alabama to Colorado and New Mexico in 1986 but never made it all the way to California, still a bucket list dream.
