well you’re very fortunate! Everywhere I looked in June was just lists. I got on the shortest list with a reasonable size dealer.

if you can share the names of people who wanted ADM, I would pay the ADM. Not much else out there that is more appealing to me than a Spyder so at this point I’d pay an ADM.

The “next” Spyder? That’ll be years after the next Boxster is released.
Yeah, that’s right. I do not have an allocation. I have a demand order in the system, but I do realize that is essentially meaningless.

Like I said, I am getting to this so late that I may or may not get one. If I’m lucky, I’ll get one of the late 22’s, but no promises. If I find a used one that I like before then, I’ll surely grab it. Or if someone will take an ADM for an allocation, I would instantly do that.

I did the same. I locked up my allocation about a month ago for an October build. The dealer originally wanted $10k adm. We agreed on $5k. Pretty small price that I think I wont take much of a hit on for the foreseeable future.

of course. I’d have paid $10k easily. So any tips on how you did this that you can share? What part of the country?

Allocations are more like when hell freezes over right now. These 718 Spyders and GT4s may go down as the “accidental” limited production series.

But alas, no worries, should be clearing up for the mid-2023 production allocations, should. Some leading indicators are pointing toward a trough has occurred and we are moving out of it.

No tips really just good ole fashioned calling/emailing a lot of GM's and negotiation once I found a dealer with an open allocation. I really didn't have much leverage to work with without a Porsche purchase history, etc. Southern California.

If you’re willing to pay ADM or a broker you can easily get one. Go to the allocations thread and ask/search for the broker info.

I would not count on production after June/July 2022... (with the exception of the 4RS)

Just curious, what makes you say that? And would the RS be for just the Cayman or do you think there would be a Spyder version of that too?

The RS will be the last iteration of the 718 platform. Doubtful Spyder will get RS’d.

Once RS production starts no room to produce many/any GT4/Spyders as they’ll likely knock out a couple thou.

typical PAG model production cycles 2-3MY production runs which normally end before the factory Aug holiday ... and no Spyder RS... that's an oxymoron ... checkout the thread on this elsewhere in forum

Was wondering if anyone knew what the real wait time would be. I would be taking delivery in Canada.

Thanks guys
You found a dealer with a two door Porsche in stock? Where?

There will be a long wait for a Spyder. not sure that it will be 16-24 months but it won’t be as short as six months. I would have guessed 12 to 18 months.

I’m wondering if he is ordering a Spyder. I suspect it’s a GTS 4.0 Boxster.
