Default Soul Perf Valve Controller Thoughts?

Loving the Spyder so far!!!! But I'm annoyed by the valve controller in exhaust mode... open in low RPMs, then goes off, then back on around 4k. I'm looking at Soul Valve controller vs Cargraphics 2 unit. The price difference is large, has anyone seen the two compared side by side?

I believe that the most significant difference is the ease (or complexity) of installation, the CG unit being the simpler. not sure about features

That's my take away as well.
The CG is much more PnP without altering the vac lines.
worth the premium IMO.

Thanks for the insight ... I'll chat with my local performance shop and look into CG.

no mention of homelink support on the CG unit - however if the remote control is HL compatible then it should be possible to program like any other such device - someone would have to try it and confirm or otherwise.

I have CG programmed to homelink. It works fine. I don’t toggle on/off via homelink nearly as much as I thought I would though.

When you say toggle on/off, do you mean you push the same homelink button for on or off ?

2 way I believe it is either valves open or closed.

Yes that is what I meant by toggle. I pretty much just leave valves open all the time. I played around with it the first few days but realized I prefer the sound at all rev ranges with valves open. I have a gts though so it may sound a bit different for me.

Thanks for confirming that the CG valve controller only need to use one Homelink button to open/close the valve because I need to use the other two buttons for my garage doors.

No sorry that’s not what I meant. I have one homelink button set to correspond to the valves open function and another homelink set for valves closed. I don’t think you can toggle from one button but not absolutely sure.

does the CG remote have one or two buttons to control the valves open/closed? i.e is it a toggle or a mode?

Fantastic, good to know CG is compatible with Homelink, I was thinking of the 3 mode but then again to your point I will probably leave valves open 90% of the time, 10% off. The OEM controller is so annoying I probably would never use the 3rd mode which is OEM.
