Which Indoor Cover? An Extra $171 Stripe...
Looking to pick up a nice cover for the Spyder but I'm perplexed about the choices.
Here are the two options Suncoast has but is the one on the left REALLY worth the extra $171 for the stripe? Sure it's pretty cool and Spyder specific but is there anything else in this cover that is actually BETTER that justifies the prices?

Anybody actually purchased the stripe cover?
Willing to pay extra if extra is actually extra...

Following. I have the Porsche indoor car cover for my black 991.1 - I am always disappointed with the amount of lint and dust that is on the car when I remove the cover - black shows everything in excruciating detail. Thought the cover might need a good washing - so I did that, and still get the dust/lint on the car. Not sure if it is lint filtering through the fabric of the cover or from the cover itself. Wonder if that will be an issue on the Spyder soft top?

I could be mistaken but if I remember correctly when seeing both the premium striped one was made of higher quality cloth and much softer. I choose the premium striped but it was for a GT4 which allowed extra room for the wing as the standard 718 Cayman cover does not.

I've got the one on the right for my GT4. Also had the same kind for my Spyder. It's great. Can't speak to the striped one, so don't know if the construction is different.

I have the GT4 with the black stripe. I also have the “regular ones” for my 964, 993 & 987. They are all the same material except the color. The GT4 one is white and unless your in a clean room will not stay perfectly clean. It’s nice but I’m not sure the added “Porsche tax” is worth it.

I have the striped "Spyder" cover. I could have gone with the regular cover and saved some $....they are the same....but I wanted it and I bought it.....bit like the car.

www.carnewal.com The best cover I've ever owned, I do like the Porsche indoor cover (owned 2) but the Carnewal offers a ton of options and is a superior product.
