GT4 w/ Akra link pipes
Got the link pipes installed a few weeks ago and I love the new sound! With that being said, is there an easy way to get rid of the dead zone between 2k and 6k rpm with the sport exhaust button turned on? I barks really good when sitting still and starts to howl around 5 to 6k but the sound goes dead in the middle.
Thoughts? I'm sure it has to do with the valves but why does it bark so well from idle?
TIA,
p.

I had previously been considering a valve controller, but not now! In my book, Porsche knew what they were doing on this one.

My exhaust valve vacuum hose came loose last month. The booming drone between 2K and 4K was so intolerable I could barely drive the car. Took it straight to my indy first thing Monday morning and he reattached and secured the vacuum line.

Get the cargraphics valve controller. Best investment on the 718 platform.

And... that is why there is a bark at startup before the vacuum has a chance to close them (assuming PSE off).
As for me Cargraphic Valve controller gets my vote for full user control.

And... it does remember the last setting chosen (Auto-PSE or Open), there was some debate if the Akra and Soul did this?

I know of is that it installs from above, no need to tap into vacuum lines, simply unplug a connector and connect in the CG controller, removal is the same, very clean and no trace it was even there ( a biggie for me).

Thanks for the confirming the memory of the last setting, I have the CG controller fitted and wondered if I was imagining things 😀
Cheers,
Harry.
