GT4 CPO cost way too high?
First post here, first time considering Porsche.
I've been in the market for a GT4, finally found a 2021 CPO. Not exactly how I'd spec it, but close enough.
I looked up the MSRP which was 110K, but is listed at the dealership for 135K(!) Is that normal? Mileage is under 2K.
I understand there's usually a dealer markup, but 25K seems massively high. Am I missing something?
I would consider getting a new build, but my local dealerships in northern CA are all quoting about a year timeline before I would get a slot. Thanks everyone.

It's all about supply and demand, and right now demand exceeds supply by a hefty margin. 992 GT3's are going for $40k+ over sticker.

If you have some time, read through some of the threads on this topic. It’s the current “normal”“.

New and used Porsches are demanding a premium given the supply situation so it all depends on how much or a hurry you are in. A new unclaimed Spyder was at my local dealership with a $20k ADM and they weren’t going to budge. You can scour the dealers nation wide in search or a future allocation, find a broker to help with the search, wait on a long list with your local dealer or buy off the lot, most likely above MSRP for a GT4 or Spyder. It is a terrible time to be a price sensitive shopper if you want to drive it in 2021.

Thank you, all. My question mostly arose from this thread where many were saying close to MSRP is standard. But this was back in March so it seems like things have changed in just a few short months.
Looking at other threads, it does seem like 20-30% markup is normal across the range. Appreciate the help.

25K is not a dealer markup . Markup applies only to new units. This is a used car and the price reflects market conditions
25k above sticker is the current market for the car, at least in the mind of the manager at that dealership
you don't know what they paid for it, most likely they did pay above sticker .

These cars are not selling at those markups. Those are fish hook prices. And then when the dealer eventually sells it, for $10k over, they'll still make $10k+ and the buyer will think they negotiated a great deal.

Everything in the world right now is in demand from cars, to houses, to airplane tickets, to PS5's, etc. It's either from pent up demand or from disruption in supply chain or lack of man power to build/serivce the commodity.
As it relates to cars, I don't know what part of the country you're in but in SoCal every dealer lot is slim pickings. I went to one dealer and ask about their current inventory and he said they had 10 new cars on the lot to sell and this was about 2.5 weeks ago. I asked how many do they normally have and he said about 170. Asked when he expects new inventory and he said August for MY21 models and then September for MY22. He said if you're looking for a MY21, just wait because there's a high possibility of a firesale to get rid of the "old" MY21 inventory when the MY22 models come a month later.

Haha I wish I can sell my car with that insane markup. Edit: I mean market value, whatever

I've had my eyes on a PDK in chalk, which is seemingly a rare combo. The one I was looking at was apparently sold even before I found it.
HOWEVER, the very next day, a local dealership called me up to say that someone had backed out of their 2022 GT4 slot (editable for the next 24 hours), and I could have it with a 10% adm. Jumped on the opportunity as it basically saved me months and months of waitlist time. Feel very lucky, and excited about November delivery timeframe
