Default Aftermarket vendors...

So, once the car has arrived do folks have recommendations for aftermarket enrichment?

In particular I'm thinking:
- indoor car cover
- trickle charger
- exhaust upgrade if the stock one is inadequate. I'll see - soul?
- carbon - dbcarbon? - just a touch. probably mirrors
- actual good theft protection?
- decals - I was thinking a larger Spyder, either retro, or like the logo, running the side of the car
- ppf / ceramic / paint correction - phil @ detailers? (NJ/NY)
- ... other?

I just created a thread on the P1 Designs LWB seat inserts I received. If you have LWB seats, I suggest this vendor and creating an insert that makes the car uniquely yours. They have lots of fabric choices. In my case, I went custom with a vintage fabric from Porsche that was sourced from Germany by my dealer. VERY happy with the results.
Have fun with the process!

  • Indoor car cover - I like my Porsche cover.
  • Trickle charger - I haven’t used one in recent years. I have one from a BMW I kept in the US while living abroad but have no idea where it is now. I manage to find warm days here and there in the winter to drive my sports car. It’s a great excuse to leave the house to “charge the battery”. It’s a running joke.
  • Exhaust upgrade. The guys at Soul Performance are great and you are near enough that they could also do an install for you. You might drive it awhile before considering that option.
  • DB Carbon is the best. I’ve used them and their stuff absolutely looks OEM. I have some pieces I am looking to add once my car comes in. I want a little seat time before I start adding stuff so I’m sure about it.
  • Theft protection. LoJack? It’s more of a recovery thing. If somebody wanted to steal your car, the best way to do it would be with a tow truck. Nobody would care as its going down the road with the alarm sounding since its a tow truck.
  • Decals. Always a “no’ for me. Mine are always stripped of the alphabet soup, but that’s just me.
  • PPF - can’t help in that area, but your SA will know the good ones for sure. Guys here should be able to help.

An absolute must is rear adjustable toe links. The chassis on the car is very good, the stock alignment not so much. You need aftermarket toe links to get the rear camber above neg 1.4. Along these lines you can get the DSC controller which is a plug and play upgrade to PASM. I have the Kline inconel exhaust and love it. You probably want a exhaust valve controller and while you are installing you might as well take out the sound symposer! Other than these 3-4 must do items... the rest is personal preference.... Good Luck

Heh. I spec'd black porsche logo and delete model on the Spyder. If I could 100% debrand I think I would, but the hood shield, the stiched spyder in the headrests, the spyder on the splitter, the spyder on the ramparts... like, there's no getting away from it really. So I may as well embrace it. ;p

With the dark way Viola can be, and silver detailing in stitching and belts I figured a silver Spyder down the side might be fun ;p

When I bought my 997.2 c4s I didnt want decals.
Then I had decals and loved them ;p

Yeah, love those “Spyder” decals Bob Z has - photos of those applied look really great. Also, I didn’t mean to say that I don’t like decals. I really love looking at them and some people do incredible stuff with graphics, too. On the Spyder, it does instantly tell you “I’m special” and best to embrace it.

I bought a car cover on Amazon, works well.

SOUL delete pipes.

Bought the OEM black center stripe from SunCoast, it was a special order and took a month to receive.

P1 LWBS inserts.

T Design module to keep the start/stop off and the exhaust on all the time.

AWE wind deflectors, easy install.

Tarrett wheel studs.

Spriegler SS brake lines, Motul 600 fluid.

Clear side markers, SunCoast has the best price.
