He mentions Porsche having plug-in hybrids. Does Porsche have any plug-in hybrids?

Nice review …. and he speaks exactly what so many of us old school gassers think.

I have an electric DD and I love it. Gas cars will be around for awhile, but more and more as special use vehicles. Im okay with that. The alternative has neither.

Yep. Sadly, cars are becoming disposable electric appliances. Much like a blender or refrigerator.
I will avoid a transportation module with a blender motor as long as possible. I'd rather have a car.

No reason to be sad, they’re still available so go get one. Life is happening now, not 20 years from now so if this is your dream go make it happen.

Agree - no need to be sad. It gets better every time I drive it. Salesmen at my dealership called to see if I wanted to trade it for a Mclaren, but just a different connection with the manual and NASP in Spyder. Love the go cart like package. I just don’t see myself parting with it. I still think it is undervalued. Brilliant car

I am as much of a car enthusiast as anyone, but I am sure people made similar arguments when transportation transitioned from horses to cars.

650S or 570S - both preowned. Obviously not a straight trade. Mclaren’s are beautiful cars. Very tempting. Really like them but for the driving I do, I will stick with manual and NASP.

I heard a podcast discussion with two people who are decidedly NOT car people. They were celebrating the demise of what we think of as cars and then said something profound. Cars are going to be like horses. Not something utilitarian you own because you need it. Something you own because it’s a hobby and you love it for that reason. I’m buying a CGTS 4.0 with that exact thought in mind.

Today in the news: new Cars sold in Canada (light vehicles, so not the pickups and bigger vehicles) starting in 2035 will all be ZEro emissions vehicles (Electric ).
