Default SCCA Time Trial Nationals

Last week @weswood and I competed in the SCCA Time Trial Nationals at NCM. One of, if not my favorite track. Very technical and a great challenge to get a good lap. Wes finished first in T1 and did a great job. I finished 5th in S1 and set a new PB @ 2:16.2 based on the traditional start/finish line. The race was based on a start/finish near turn 14. Temps were very high around 106 according to my cars temp guage, so times were a little lower then optimal, but what a great time. Was a pleasure to meet and hang out with @weswood and can't wait for next year. Hopefully I get some practice before next year. This was only my second track day in the GT4 and only second track day of the year, so pretty satisfied with the results considering. Here is my fastest lap. Screwed up turn 8 and 23 or would have been in the 2:15s. Also, let Tom O'Gorman drive my car and he was able to get down to 2:15.8, so I wasn't to far off the pace.

And the best part was the Sat that you owed me. Nice driving John you looked just like the videos of Pilgrim. Your Vmin through the Hairpin and Deception is awesome. Seriously a great track and event, I missed 4th overall in M3 by .4 sec, bobbles in turn 2 and turn 6 cost me the place.

Hey Peter. Definitely great to see you again and have some beers. Just wish the brewery had some A/C. We are in the same boat. I missed 4th by 0.03 seconds. ugh. Great time. Can't wait for next year. Happily buy you another round.
