I bought two different pairs of leather driving gloves on Amazon and both were too slippery to use on my Racetex wheel. Sent them back.

Ok I'm assuming that's where the golf rain gloves are a little more grippy?

I'm assuming then that any of the leather driving gloves are not going ot be so good for performance driving regardless of whether or not you have alcantera/racetex steering wheels?

I would think a full suede driving glove would be ok if available. Those Outlier's look good but crazy expensive:

I bought those Milwaukee performance gloves a year ago and I love them.

I only use them for driving my gt4 of course. They have a suede like material palm and inner finger so they grip great for the alcantara steering wheel.

they fit me perfectly. Very comfortable.

They are not too hot.they work with the touch screen.

They remind me of my humble beginnings and that I had to work hard to get a gt4( including a lot of physical renovations jobs that I could have payed someone to do)

Plus they go very well with my guard red gt4 and red stitching on the inside, and red trim.

Very much want a pair but jesus christ that's a lot of money for a pair of gloves!

I am super fussy with this kind of thing. I've bought so many different pairs for motorsports before finally settling on a pair that I really like, but those aren't great for wearing every day. These look much more suitable/breathable.

How much does porsche charge for a replacement steering wheel?

You can pick up a mint condition Alcantara for $2.5K average without the airbag.

Don't need to pay the new Porsche tax.

got these hungarian leather gloves for ~$80 on etsy, to match my racing yellow GT4. The quality is absolutely phenomenal for the price and love the color!

Here are the ones I prefer, since I specialize in road rage incidents.

Footjoy rain gloves or Wilson staff rain gloves. Just google golf rain gloves on golf galaxy website or amazon. You will have tons of options come up. I am all in on golf rain gloves as I know the material of the rain glove will work and keeps the sweat away too. Don't care about name brand or color matching - its about how you drive out there.

Side note and funny ..... As my golf buddy says "if you aren't good at it you may as well look cool doing it". LOL. I guess that applies to track days too. lol

I'm assuming leather or leather is not so good but leather on alcantara steering wheel is grippy. Golf gloves seem to provide the best of both worlds.
Jim has it right, they are mechanics gloves, although they come in various styles and intended uses, these are very breathable and have a synthetic leather palm and inner finger surface much like Alcantara/Race Tex, I also choose the Fast-Fit series because with the elastic wrist band they are easy on/off for driving activities when you might need to have your hand out for a minute or two. Lastly I find that after a year or so of use it is the glove that is beginning to wear not my Alcantara Wheel or shifter, at about $22 cheap to replace for a glove that gives me a perfect grip in the wheel and shifter.

I have two pair of these, one in the black one in white/cognac. Unfortunately, they are almost sold out and it looks like they aren't ordering more as the previously available colors have sold out previously.

The Cafe Leather ones look really nice.

Surprised nobody posted these, Genuine Porsche mechanic gloves then, I'm sure this will sell.
