GT4 Side Scoops on Spyder

Thank you, bswift.
That helped tremendously. I heard it can be a pain to remove and install the side intake trim and scoop. Did you remove the rocker panel to have the back side accessible?
Also, did you use any amount of 3M double sided adhesive tape anywhere for the scoop trim?
Thanks so much!

I do not have any adhesive on my scoops. They've stayed put over multiple track weekends with speeds over 140 mph so I don't think they're going anywhere as long as the clips are fully seated.

Removal of the rocker panel shouldn't be necessary. I had some issues getting the rear clips seated on the passenger side so I did opt to remove that panel to ensure clips were fully seated, but the driver side install went smoothly without removing the panel. If you'd feel more comfortable removing the rocker and working from the back, it probably adds another 10 minutes per side to the install process. I suggest having a large blanket and a second pair of hands to aid in removal and re-installation of the rocker to avoid any damage to the paint.

Please excuse the dirty car and poor photography, but here's an album with what I've got from various angles, distances and in motion: 718 T Scoops

It just dawned on me that I never posted a pic of how they turned out:

Yeah, color matters. I ordered mine with Black door handles so having the scoops the same color made sense:

The fellow who owns my old GTS did it, and said it was an easy install after he got them painted (and filled the GT4). The carbon ones look nice on the RS but might look a bit random on the base GT cars.

Excellent. Because I don't want the (massively expensive) carbon fiber version. I just want to paint them body color or black. Maybe.
