So glad I have rare Miami Blue. Love Shark Blue, but I bet it is more popular than Miami.

But there’s a reason for that...

I'm struggling hard with this stupid color. As the days get closer to my lock date more and more I'm thinking I should switch my build from CWM to this. As for rim colors, my choices would be either Silver or Satin Aurum, but I don't think there is a bad choice with shark blue.

Silver will look amazing on shark blue, no doubt there. That will pop like crazy and look very refined.

Satin Aurum will pay a bit of homage to 997.2 GT3RS's with their wild rim and vehicle color combos, so I think it'll say 'track car'

Grey rims will not pop on this color, but while i think they look terrible in the cofigurator, they did work well with miami and saphire blue, so I think they'd probably be my 3rd pick.

Black on blue will work nicely too, but black hides the rim style and they'll always look dirty and I think black rims jumped the shark awhile ago so they'd be my last pick on most colors and maybe tied for 3rd on shark blue.

The same argument you are making could be made for Agate grey and all the other boring (to me) grey colors compared to Shark Blue. I am glad not to be a sheep

Ive had quite a few white SUVs... i dont really like boring colors on sports cars personally. Rims are a lot easier to fix than a paint job, can always swap things out if you change your mind later. Im digging my black and blue build but ill probably be getting a set of winter tire rims as well to mix it up just so see.

I'm going with the grey, Satin Platinum wheels. Ever since I saw this Voodoo Blue 981 GT4, I want one just like it.

I can't fault your logic. I like the way Porsches look in white and it's actually not a super common color to pick (most 911s around here end up silver, black, or dark colors), but you're right it is very boring and it wouldn't stand out in a parking lot full of suvs. I'm reminded when the news did a story here on the local track giving track rides to old people in a retirement home. 90% of their shots were of a mexico blue gt3 even though there were a lot more expensive cars there and a lot more race car looking cars... just in boring colors.

I just went to VW and spent about 15 minutes looking at a Cornflower GTI outside. Shark blue is a lot lighter than the configurator makes it out to be. Personal pref, I think voodoo a bit better but I like it better than mexico. Also, when i rounded the corner out back looking for it it was like BAM!, there it is!.

I'd say this picture is probably the closest to how it looked in direct sunlight.

@sonystyle02 That is the build I am considering (with platinum wheels), in competition with a guards red build.

If I were doing it again, Shark Blue, Platinum Wheels, PCCB brakes and Speed Blue deviated stitching, so tempting!

Just because it’s different doesn’t make it good...

I've seen that GT3 in person in similar lighting (on that same road) and that photo is a good representation.

the alternate background from the configurator makes it appear a little less washed out
