New Cayman GTS 4.0 in PTS Albert Blue!

I have the same seats, and by my eye, the bolsters on the passengers side look fully flat. That said, I'm not sure you'd see much of a difference at each extreme in a photo. Sitting in it is another matter!

So now for the Mod List. Many of these I learned about here, so thank you all for that!
Complete:
Ordered:
Targeted:
Comments and thoughts welcome!
Complete:
- Xpel Ultimate Plus full PPF (done at dealer for delivery)
Ordered:
- Clear side markers from Suncoast
- Rennline Cellphone Mount
- Design-9 Memory Module for Sport Chrono Dial
- Thank goodness! That Auto-Stop-Start is so annoying, especially in a Manual car - this makes it go away forever, would never use Normal mode again...
- Numeric Short Shifter (with softer 1.5mm Spring)
Targeted:
- Exhaust
- Want something not too loud or extreme, to keep with the stealthy theme of this car. Will start with Cat-Back Exhaust only for now (versus doing any pipes).
- At the top of the list now is the Soul Performance Exhaust.
- The threads here on this topic have been helpful, thanks!
- Wheels
- The Silver wheels are growing on me. I had also thought of getting them painted in Satin Platinum.
- But I am thinking of getting some 19" wheels, I like the retro look of a little more sidewall, and that provides for better protection for the wheels for our Chicago potholes. I thinking a BBS Style modular Wheel with a Gloss Black lip and Matte Gunmetal Center might be cool, looking at some BC Forged options now.
- Down the road for consideration:
- Installed Radar Detector?
- Right now the rear badging is just "718" - might redo to "718 Cayman GTS" or "Cayman GTS".
Comments and thoughts welcome!

P.S. My car fortunately is just before the VIN range of the Connector Rod issue - whew! I was sweating bullets reading those threads...

Good choice! This is the same combo I ordered about a wk ago. My car is still 6 wks away, but the timing should be just about right to get parts in time for install as soon as the car arrives.

Okay, after reading the 50+ pages of the Soul Performance GT4 Development thread and talking to several exhaust manufacturers and dealers/installer, and watching Matt/Obsessed Garage's many videos several times, I have decided to start with the Soul Performance Over Axle Pipes and the Soul Performance Exhaust Controller. Ordered! The Exhaust Controller shipped already, will get that in soon, the OAPs are 8 weeks or so lead time.
P.S. My car fortunately is just before the VIN range of the Connector Rod issue - whew! I was sweating bullets reading those threads...

Did you also order the Numeric shift cables? Do you think they're necessary or important? Seems it makes the install far more complex, not that I'd ever attempt this myself, or even the shift kit. I'm all thumbs and have 0 mechanical ability.

I did also order a Black Forest Industries Shift **** in the Red Air Leather with Black aluminum, to tie in with the Carmine Red Stitching, Gauge Faces and Seat Belts. That should be cool!
(I won't be doing any of this install work myself either, I am not very handy with cars...)
My car was ordered with just "718" on the rear. I decided this morning to go to "Cayman GTS", ordered those this morning. I don't really connect with the "718" branding.
Next up is deciding on darker wheels!

I read to part about durability as well. Since I don't track anymore, and only God knows how long I'll be with this car, I decided to pass on the cables too. I like your Black Forest shift ****. Should go well with the rest of the interior. I went with the CF **** to go with the rest of the CF trim. PS, Cayman GTS is a great choice for the back. Mine's coming blank, so going to do GTS 4.0.

You are welcome, keep up the great work!
So I thought the Valve Controller was going to ship right away, but the OAPs were going to be an 8 week lead time.
Much to my surprise, BOTH came in today! I guess I got lucky and you guys had a set in stock.
Excited to get them installed!!

Update here - I got the car back with the Mods above installed. The car was of course fantastic to begin with, but it has been majorly improved IMO with these slight mods!
Got the Soul Performance OAPs and the Valve Controller installed. This is a huge improvement in sound! The car now more so sounds like it looks. It is not over the top, but with the Valves permanently on with the Valve Controller sounds great just tooling around (open at all RPMs unlike the Factory PSE mode), and also sounds much more aggressive at 4,000 RPMs+. My Porsche Dealer did the install and they were very impressed with how it came out. So much so that my Service guy called another client and recommended having the same setup done.
It can be super stealthy, it is very quiet with the Soul Valve Controller off and the PSE off. I dig having that much control over it. I had them program two of the Homelink buttons for the Soul Valve Controller On and Off, which is very convenient, I don't have to worry about keeping track of a separate key fob. (I read about doing that in the YouTube comments of one of their videos.)
I am still considering adding the Soul Catback Exhaust, to take it further. The mods so far to me make it sound like it should sound stock, without today's crazy world of the regulations for emissions and noise and the OPF filters.
The Numeric Racing Short Shift is another significant upgrade. I love it! The short shifts are great, but also it is much more mechanical and notchy in feel, in a good way. I got the lighter 1.5mm spring, which is supposedly like a 718 GT4. It feels just a tad heavier, but is still very light. In my opinion it matches the engine better, and makes it feel more like a proper sports car. (I still have the stock CF trimmed shift **** on there, my Black Forest Industries Red Leather one hasn't come in yet.)
The T-Design9 Memory Module is a MUST HAVE! Goodbye Auto Stop-Start, forever. Good riddance!
I got the Rennline Phone Mount Installed. Right now I have it on the left side. I like it there - it blocks a bit of the PCM screen there, but I rarely use the PCM. I don't listen to music in the car, my music is the exhaust. (I am still thinking of doing a PCM delete.)
I put on the Clear Side Markers, that is a subtle change, but it definitely improves the looks.
I am really digging having the unique PTS Albert Blue color. I love the color, and just knowing it is very unique is cool. I find myself looking at all the PTS threads and dreaming up what my next PTS car will be. I am thinking of getting another Macan before next winter, maybe that should be a PTS color?
I did order HRE 527S wheels per my other thread. 19" wheels, will go with wider tires, 245 fronts and 285 rears. But those will take a couple of months to come in.
I am getting close to 1,000 miles. Can't wait to hear the upgraded exhaust at 7800 RPM!

Will do, when I get a chance.
When driving the car, seeing all the Black with Red accents of the interior and the Blue Hood and Drivers Side Mirror in the same line of sight is quite stunning.
It is SPASM. SPASM comes standard with the GTS 4.0, and if you want PASM instead, you need to select that as a no-cost option.
I really like it! Visually the car looks quite low in real life in my opinion, and the wheel gaps are tight. From a handling perspective it is terrific. Not too rough at all. I prefer it in regular mode (in Sport, I never use Normal because of the Auto Stop Start). But even in the tightened up Sport Plus Mode it is not too bad, noticeably stiffer but still fairly compliant. The turning feel of this car is amazing. How it can be so tight yet still so compliant is incredible. Porsche is terrific on suspension engineering, and steering. The best in the industry, in my opinion. Once you drive a Porsche 911 or 718, driving any other brand does not compare well in suspension and steering feel.
I have my Individual setting to Sport Plus for fastest Throttle Response and Normal for Suspension. That is a nice combination for Country Road spirited driving!
