Default Texas GT4 owner incoming

hey everyone, I've finally secured my allocation for a GT4 and will take delivery sometime around July. I'm located in Austin and would be great to keep in touch with some of your as I get closer to my delivery date. I'm down to meet up for a drive or whatever once I have it broken in. Anyway, I should be more active here on out now that I actually have a GT4 on it's way. Pretty excited.

Sweet,,,as said by dnimi123 welcome to the point where your professional career and personal relationships may suffer slightly due to a new discovered P GT4 ADHD diagnosis!

Congrats! Now the real waiting begins, good time to get familiar with the forum until you can get out and drive

As for meetups does the local PCA do any DE events at COTA? Would love to plan a road trip south and hit that track at some point.

Gratz! I'm in San Antonio and a handful of us from Austin/SA have already started rendezvousing so we look forward to meeting you! Also look for the Texas meet up thread or PM me and I'll connect you with the rest of us. If all goes according to plan some of us will be at COTA at Edge Addicts 27/28 March.

Dare to post your build?... After which, if all goes according to ritual, is like medical exam, but not as much fun... as all the Phd's (Porsche Hysteria Directors - yes I just made that up) Will alternately praise your wisdom and curse your innocence depending on the choices you have made... All in good fun, mostly, sometimes not...

Here ya go, criticize away! It's sort of a strange build and not as hardcore as some others. I opted for 18 ways since this will be a daily driver and I expect this to be the most controversial choice I made. I might occasionally track it. I sold my Cayman S before pandemic and had 14 ways so I'm familiar with how the 18 ways will be. I'm also missing the smoking package. I'll add that before my build locks. I also toyed with the LEDs vs bi xenon but I like the blacked out look of the bi xenon more and I won't be doing a ton of night driving.

Sure. Criticize away. The most controversial think will be that I selected 18 ways instead of buckets. This will be my only car and daily driver so I went for a more comfortable spec. I had 14 ways with my old Cayman S so I know what I'm getting into. I also struggled with LED vs bi xenon but I liked the look of the blacked out bi xenon better and I won't be doing much night driving anyway. I also liked the look of a cheaper MSRP because of that choice. I also plan on adding the smokers package for the extra outlet before my build locks. I just forgot to do it so far.

I also went for the 18-way totally adjustable seats.

I'm going to drive mine and not Track it ...............

I'll take the extra comfort ^^^

See my build in signature below.

Congratulations on your 2021 incoming Machine.

Terry

Awesome build if I do say so myself (I got GT silver with PDK/Sofas) and the black door handles are cool. The 18ways are THE BEST and dare I say better than 14 ways in wifes 992CS. I also got the standard interior (leather steering wheel/gear lever is a must over Alcantara...) and I love it as its just right for the car. Congrats and good luck!

I have 18 ways in my CGTS 4.0 and think they're great. Nice build.
I'm in Houston, hope to see you around after you get your car.

PCA has regular HPDEs at COTA usually about 3-4 times per year. Great support staff and lots of other Porsche to run with. The garages make for an even more enjoyable weekend. Park you car in the same place as the F1 guys. Next event is April 9-10-11 and then another in early June as well.
