Picked up my GT4 in -13C (8F) with snow on the ground. Because why not?

Thanks!

Guy who did that is an attention wh*ring clown. Previously known for setting an AMG GT 63 on fire (and making a viral video about it, obvs) because he was displeased with Merc's service dept. And I believe he also dropped a G wagon from a helicopter. Shoot be banned off the entire internet for being a ****.

Damn I spoke too soon, I woke up and saw the Severe Weather Alert on my phone it snowed most of the day yesterday and into the night and Victorians woke up to the Blizzard of 2021, everything is at a standstill!

So I rushed outside this morning to make sure I captured the eerie scene...

But in all seriousness, BC does get winter and it can happen in Victoria but it is rare, still you only have to go a short distance away to be assaulted by the worst possible conditions, just outside of Hope BC is a stretch of road profiled on the documentary series Highway Thru Hell: Highway Thru Hell | Discovery Canada | Watch Full Episodes | Discovery

Yesterday was a case in point, conditions that turned deadly: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canad...Ps5?ocid=ientp

This is a little over 100 miles from the picture of my front yard and depending on Arctic outflow, on-shore moisture flow and temperatures we have experienced some serious freezing ice and snow storms, right now it is only a 'little' chilly by eastern standards, about -4C

Unfortunately by the time I got there on Saturday morning we were looking at a high of 3C, wind and constant rain. So I went out on my winter tires, because why not. I didn't have any PS4S which would've been the preferred choice, and I certainly wasn't going out on Cup 2. Halfway through the first session of the weekend, a 1 series BMW split an oil pipe somewhere and made it two full laps before his engine seized. Conditions made cleaning up the track impossible so the weekend was cancelled outright.

Still, at least I have a lap on video to illustrate the silliness of it.

Boy, that looked a handful. It sounded great, though! Enjoy the car.

Nice video. Were you using a cup phone holder for your phone?

Heh, I was actually yeah... I had forgotten my magnetic vent mount. Cup holder did well, just a bit too far out of view but in this case it didn't really matter as lap times could be counted in days rather than seconds.

Congrats on getting there safely and having the street tires with you!

Still looks like a great circuit and many of us still stuck in freezing temperatures envy you!

Surely you will be back again sometime!!!

Cheers!
