Interesting facts from reviewing the spreadsheet
I thought I’d start a separate thread on this. First, thanks to all who contributed to these spreadsheets!
I believe the good Mr. Merlotsj put together this one for the ‘21 Spyders.
‘21 Spyder VIN’s to date...
Here’s a screenshot:
0061 and a Feb. date appears to be a test/promo/one off build.
So mine (0064) looks to be the 3rd one going in, yet it exits 11 weeks later on 11/24
About 23 builds later, 0087 is held to 11/4
And another 28 builds go by with 0115 being held to 11/2
My car arrived with 24 miles on the odometer. If 0087 and 0115 participates on RL (or any others with a delay), I’d luv to have you weigh in.
It does appear as though they do pull cars to testing on, aka Freude reiten (German for joy ride). 😂
Does anyone else have any insight?

Hi Speedy,
The sequence number in VINanalytics follows the VIN sequence, lowest VIN to highest. I am constantly changing the sequence number assigned to the VINs at the end of the list as lower sequenced VIN become available on VINanalytics. I do not know the process for actually assigning the VIN, but by the way that the dates to finish production move around I assume they are assigned very early in the process, like maybe before the required parts are even ordered. Do you know if anything changed in your configuration after it was locked? I know my Spyder had a lock date of late August originally, but it moved up by about 4 weeks even though my estimated dates for production did not move.

No, nothing changed... I was pressed to finalize my build in mid July and it went V250 on 7/24.

I missed the list by only a couple of vin numbers.
Got news yesterday my Spyder is finished ahead of schedule and at the port ready for shipment.

What is your VIN, I’ll see if VINanalytics has the info on it yet. I will definitely keep updating the spreadsheet until all MY2021 Spyders are included.

This is so cool. I completely forgot about my build until I clicked that link and looked up my commission number. Shows up on VinAnalytics too with no issues. SO COOL. Thanks a million to the folks that made this happen.

@QWKFLAT6 VIN analytics is updated for your car now. The spreadsheet has the first 100 VINs (as well as new adds) updated with MSRP now, and I am catching up on commission numbers as well. Commission number was added around the beginning of November, I believe, and I only backfilled about 50 cars then.

Merlotsj created it and deserves all the credit along with wizee and the others that have graciously offered their time and skills to compile them.

Spyder was offloaded 10 days ahead of schedule in Houston this week.
Should have the car in our hands on March 15 when we return from a planned vacation.
I'll post up a thread at that time.

BTW, the spreadsheet has been updated as of Monday. All VINs available at VINanalytics are in the spreadsheet, there are several new columns, and the commission number, MSRP, and all of the added columns are up-to-date for all VINs.

Great spread sheet. What makes it so a car wouldn't show up in VINAnalytics? I have an incoming Spyder (VIN WP0CC2A87MS240578) that doesn't appear to have any data there. thanks.

I don’t know the answer to that question. My Spyder showed up on VINanalytics site as soon as I had a VIN from my SA, but there are some that do not. Vin sequence does not appear to have any correlation to manufacturing sequence either.
