Anyone else getting only about 20% of pics/shots/angles showing with this new configurator, the remaining 80% showing blank ("error")? No rhyme or reason which color/option/combo/angle shows and which doesn't. That's on a laptop -- my iPad is still showing the old config pics, btw. Anyone has any idea what's going on?

From my experience, when things like happen, it because the manufacturer is updating the website and these glitches are inevitable. The question is, what exactly are they updating. It could be just as simple as adding the new background or there could be more to it along the lines of updating equipment/options such as adding Shark Blue, adding or removing an option, adding GT4 RS to the configurator. Your guess would be as good as mine.

The Boxster pics are new while the Cayman pics are still the old ones.

If you click the change background button a couple of times the image should load. This is typical Porsche configurator update rubbish. It generally takes them a couple of weeks to work out (most of) the bugs. I would be very careful about drawing conclusions from anything new that is shown. There are a couple of ongoing threads about PCCB not being available on non-GT 718's. As far as I can see, that was a mistake made in June and later corrected

Well this "improved" configurator, even if it shows glimpses of much better color and texture representations, is completely useless as it is. Can't believe someone actually decided to release it. I'd fire the whole department if they worked for me. The joys of union employment...

The new configurator seems to be almost fully functional. Huge improvement!

They still haven't corrected the headlights when you select the Premium Package. They still show as base instead of PDLS+. Their web team is asleep at the wheel.

Actually the shown (nipple-less) base lights are not even available as the PDLS in Black is standard on the GTS. The only option is the LED PDLS.

Configurator never shows correct stitching either. Kind of a bummer when you’re considering leather especially with deviated stitching.
