So I just test drove a 2021 Boxster GTS 4.0 in PDK and it was louder/more audible than the 2020 Spyder I had driven just a few weeks ago. With the Spyder I was shocked at how quiet it was below 4k rpms, where as the 2021 Boxster even with the PSE off, I could hear more engine/exhaust noise at lower rpms. Could something have changed for the US market? Even my SA said he could tell there was a difference between the two.
Note: Spyder was used w/ 1200 miles and GTS was obviously brand new.

When I retired from motorcycles and got back into cars in 2014, I picked up a new 2014 Cayman S with X73. I’ve owned a handful of great Porsches since (911S, Spyders, GT4, Taycan 4S) the last two currently. Looking back, I probably should have just kept driving the 981. It was a great car to drive and I’d have saved a ton of money. Hindsight’s always 20/20.
