PDKS GT4 VS GTS what’s really different?
Cost about the same but more choices on the GTS.
What’s really the difference if you spec a GTS for the track?
Sorry if it’s been posted before, just starting to look at Caymans..

TXShaggy wrote this, I just tweaked it for the Cayman/GT4.
A more accurate statement is the GTS is a regular Cayman with a detuned 4.0.
The entire front clip, chassis, sub frame, axle, and steering are unique from the GT3, rear suspension is GT bespoke.
Bigger tires, brakes, and then there's the aero.
PDK is mated to a more aggressive limited slip diff.
PSM and PASM significantly different.
Oh and the styling...theres that also.

Cost about the same? Really? $94,500 vs $114,900 base in Canada. The delta is similar in the US percentage wise. 18% delta. Are you trolling for fun? Based on your profile pic you should know better.
Cheers!

Exactly why I got the GTS here in BC, or I’d end up paying a 25% tax. Ouuuuch.

Assuming you will track it, get the GT4
Suspension and brakes are not the same and worth the pricing delta, for the track.

There are still a lot that you would miss out on, some (but maybe not all) are...
GT4 specific calibrated PSM
GT4 specific bushing set and more hard mounted (ball joint) attach points
GT4 specific LSD calibrations
Wider wheels/tires (which equal higher lateral G limits)
You could probably look at the GT4 Sales Brochure and find more GT4 specific items that you can't get on the GTS (nor could you retro-fit)

For Trakcar, the 18% price difference is probably relative to a couple k to me. I mean he had two RSs he spent time tracking in Europe at some of the best tracks.

You could do that and you are still far away from a GT4...it has been documented since the 981 GT4 that they changed a lot of suspension parts including geometry.
Changing just the shocks will not do the trick.
Then you have the brakes, the LSD, the aero.......

Hi Peter, if track GT4 all the way.
But neither will beat your 991RS
why a cayman?

PSM ediff would be the biggest change, tire fir tire.
Short and sweet
In that train of thought they could cost about the same.
There is no European Delivery for the moment, ED may be cancelled as part of the great reset?
In that case I could buy a car in Europe and sell when I’m done with it.
A GTS might be easier to find come springtime and a bit more comfy to transport wifey around in, when she joins me.
Cayman cheaper lighter smaller and different to learn, anyone know if they both have PDK-S like a GT3? No creep, forward down, lever back is up when not using paddles?
