Default dash light stays on

Anyone else have their digital dash light (ie mileage, speedo and spyder logo) not turn off even after being parked for an extended period? Does not matter if the car is locked or not.
The time on the sport chrono also stays on. I am afraid it will drain the car battery. I read somewhere the ignition switch may may be broken....

I opened the trunk to put up the top and problem went away. Probably the trunk was not fully closed? Although it looked ok, I am going to monitor it....

Doesn't seem right, I have parked mine for days in the garage with the top down, no dash lights remained on, they timed out as per normal.

Yes it is not normal behaviour. I parked the car many times with the top up and down over the past few months without issues. I have a feeling the truck latch was not connected properly, maybe I did not close it firm enough? When I picked up my new car, they did need to replace the closure bracket for the trunk because they said something was broken from factory. Anyways I will monitor it.

Maybe it is your car telling you ‘We should go out for another drive, honey’.

Seriously, I do agree with you. Probably latch mechanism not working properly.

One quick way to check, try to lock the car, if the alarm sets then there is no latch still open. I had a similar issue on a 986, the center console cover wasn’t closed all the way. Yes, the console had a latch trigger, not sure if the 982 has that too.
