I already have my order so there wasn't direct incentive to generate demand (maybe indirect pressure such as the OP wondering about delaying his order). In all likelihood, Porsche headquarters will do what they do, even if they came out tomorrow and unequivocally said 2021 would be the last year, would anyone really be surprised if they changed their mind last minute while throwing around terms like "market demand" and "production efficiencies"?

I'm not sure how big of a market GT cars are in Europe vs NA vs China, and if it'll be "worth it" to keep producing non-Euro versions of the car. I guess we'll find out in the next 6 to 9 months.

If they told you no 2022 after you placed your order, maybe what you have been told is the truth. Since they don’t have to say that to make you hurry up and order.

What is your build month BTW? Mine is February.

Porsche style and quality for a modernized 2008 Tesla Roadster ?

yes. With 4 independent motors. Pocket rocket. If Porsche doesn’t someone else will.

From what I've been told is that there will be a 25-year special of the Boxster and the RS in 2022. Maybe we will see end of production during 22, 21 seems too soon.

Turning the 911 into a battery-powered sports car isn’t ideal according to Blume, who believes that if Porsche ever made an all-electric sports car, it would likely be an all-new model.”

I got a notification from my SA for a 2021 February allocation confirmation today; however, due to issues, I’d prefer to push for an allocation that comes later, perhaps, 2022 early spring. My SA said he was informed that 2021 would be the last year Porsche will make 718 variants productions. I remember reading it somewhere that there will still be some 2022 718 models. I could be wrong but just wondering if you have any thoughts about this?

My SA is also a personal friend so I don’t believe he would just make it up and try to push the sales.
Can't say if this will prove true or not, but politics aside, the incoming administration might be a harbinger of the demise of the ICE in automobiles. I personally think that reality will at some point rear its head and prevent this from coming to pass during my lifetime(but I'm 72, so that isn't that far off), but short term this could push Porsche to a faster development of EV models, including the Cayman/Boxster line. If so, then right now is the time to buy, but even if its not, trying to time when to buy a car is a lot like trying to time your stock buy/sell investments. I'm into guns as well, and a gun dealer, and I tell my customers to buy what you want, not what you think will increase in value. Most guns have done very well in the 40+ years I've been involved, but not all. Better than cars by far, but the same rule applies: buy what you want, what will make you happy, and what you can afford. If it appreciates (or doesn't depreciate as much as other vehicles), so much the better, but don't count on it. the only car I ever "made" money on was my '72 240Z, paid $4000 for it and sold it 8 years later for $3700. Of course I put a lot into it in modifications and such, and inflation took a cut too, but that was the closest I ever came to breaking even on a car. Now had I kept it until now....but I wouldn't have been able to enjoy some of the other cars I've owned, because the seed money that the Z represented back then would never have materialized and $3700 was a lot of money for me in 1980.

December, with an expected arrival date of late February. It'll be in the late winter but the dealership informed me they could do the PDI in-house without having to drive the vehicle! Fingers crossed - it'd be ideal to have the car ready for the spring!

Ahhh... The result of a night of passion between a Taycan and a not legal age of consent Boxster.
