Fall Photos?
#16
Not much left in terms of fall colours here - most of the leaves are on the ground now. But given we had a bonus summer day from Mother Nature today in Southern Ontario - over 80 F, had to go for a long drive - shorts, short sleeves, and of course top down. Probably last ride in 2019, at least with top down. Had a blast on back roads and stopped for a few photos.

Yes. This is the STL PCA group doing our fall colors drive. We had 35+ cars show up and drive from the STL suburbs and out along the Missouri river to Hermann. We had another 9 cars drive down from our sister PCA group in Columbia MO meet us there. Hermann MO is this older German heritage town on the Missouri river. We passed by Dutzow which was a German town settled in 1832. The area along the Missouri river there is hilly and has some very nice drives. There is a lot of German ancestry with many wineries in the area which fits in well with the German cars.

These roads are ok, they are 5 mins from my house and that is why I take them. You see/hear lLambos, Ferrari’s, McLaren, etc on Aurora Road, a road that people use to access these roads (the route I take is around the York/Durham Line), but the best ones are further north up in Muskoka area. I will definitely do that route again next spring, summer, and fall - it is worth the 2 hour drive to these roads. You can PM if you would like more specifics.

I didn’t take any photos, but I decided given this latest gift of warm weather from Mother Nature, to take my car out of winter storage. I prepared it for storage last week. We ended up getting a mild snow fall on Sunday. But weather forecast for this week was unseasonably warm with lots of sunshine (and they weren’t wrong) , and I couldn’t resist some more drive time with Spyder - i thought it will be a long 5 months without driving it. What to do? I thought if I could squeeze out another 2 weeks of top down driving - why not. I pulled it back out on Tuesday. I drove it everyday since Tuesday, including today. It reached 24 C or 75 F. On Wednesday, it was the first time I had the ‘hips wiggle” on a S curve. Hmm - Embarrassingly I forgot I had overinflated the tires and didn’t adjust 🙈 - I have since remedied it. The great weather continues into next week. Man I love this car.
