718 GT4 Clubsport 4.0L

None...zipp...but if I have to guess, No, as that would mean all current 718 owners racing in series would need either to upgrade the engine or the car, not very cost effective which is one of the main attributes of the GT4 Clubsport.

Well they could have more than one class of racecars. By that logic Porsche should have stuck with only making 2003 996 Cups to this day.

I can't imagine why not but will still say the 2.5T may give headaches to 4.0L folks down the road.

I have seen the potential of the 2.5 turbo, very fast with some minor mods, very cost effective...too bad it only last 3-4 laps ....still I have seen 981 GT4s with mods pulling the 718s 4 cyl on the straights, never mind once the new 4L is uncorked with some mods and a PDK....lets compare apples to apples.

I can see them racing the 718 GT4 with the 3.8 a couple more years...by that time the successor should be out.
The GT4 CS were manufactured with those classes in mind....

Agree. The 718cs (3.8) is basically a new race car and approved for another 2 years, no one is switching anytime soon. Porsche has been pretty clear they will be going electric with the next gen boxster/cayman in 2022/3 so unless something changes the current 3.8 may be it before hybrid/electric.
