Bumps and suspension noises?

Bumps and suspension noises?
I have had the car for a few weeks and have about 300 miles on the car. Bumps are a bit unavoidable when driving in the city and have driven over a few small ones going about 30 mph. Once or twice, it has sounded like the rear suspension made a “twanging” sound on the rebound. Anyone else experience this? I never had this problem with my C4S or 981S.

I have experienced this and it freaked me out the first time for sure. I believe it is the ball joints links on the suspension that cause this sound. If it's something else, I'd sure like to know, but have actually not experienced it since very early on and now have over 800 miles on the car.

My 991.2 GT3 used to do this.Turns out there was a workshop alert for early cars. It was the rear springs unloading over humps and ouching the shock towers. They replaced the springs with upgraded plastic coated springs which solved the problem. I wonder if this is same problem with your GT4.

I guess I will keep driving and keep an eye out for it. The first time was on a downward hill and hit a small bump while turning around a corner. The second time I was going straight and hit a shallow pothole when it made the noise on the rebound. This car so far seems to be temperamental (even though I love it).

The car uses a very similar front suspension to the GT3. Those cars make a lot of noises, most notably, the thwang sound from the spring. I can't recall if the bushings are the same as the GT3 RS, but those can creak. These aren't Bentleys.

Rear is quiet on the GT cars except for bushing creaks. I had a car that was making a horrible noises in the rear on bumps. I thought a sway bar had gotten loose. Turned out to be a rattling engine cover. Dealer installed rubber bump stops and noise gone.
