Yep...you can do that.

With some rough math based on the Alphas wheel base of 93.7 inches the 5000SLX may fit. That's 4 inches shorter than the GT4. Tire to tire at the bottom body line is 76 inches on the GT4. It would be snug but I suspect it would work. As I said if the Aplha is the concern you are welcome to swing by and we can slide mine under it to see if it will before you order.

However I understand the 4C is likely to be trouble on the 5000SLX. Would be easy enough to do a custom lift plate for the 3500 to cover the minor additional length for the Spyder. I believe it will have the same 54 inch placement.
Many thanks! I appreciate the offer, and may take you up on that. I'll be out of commission for a month or so due to some surgery later this week, but will reach out to you once I am back to driving again. I agree with your comments, and imagine that the 718 will measure around 54 inches as well. I believe I've seen some 4C owners using the 5000 series, even though it may not be ideal. I'll look into that further, as it may be the simplest answer...but the 4C is a very short car, with jacking points around 43 inches apart (which does fall within the 5000 spec). Your suggestion of making a custom plate for the 3500 would work too, so I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks again..

Just now saw this reply. I think you're correct. Thanks again.

So can you use these for winter storage....5 months of keeping your car lifted up with the wheels/tires off?

I don't think that is recommended. Although I believe you can disconnect the power unit and hoses with the safety latches locked in the up position, essentially turning the sleds into large jackstands. But even then, you have the suspension droop to deal with, which I don't believe is ideal.
The storage use I was referring to is with the 4 post I already have, but which doesn't handle the wheels off uses I want the QJ for.

You could. It would be sitting on the mechanical locks and not the hydraulics. I'm not sure hanging the suspension unloaded over that time would be a good idea. I've never stored a car that way however so I'm not certain.

Also, CaymanMatt's chart shows a range of 50" to 56" for this measurement on the 718 GTS, which would appear to just barely fit the 3500 unit. But is there actually a range for this jacking point front to rear measurement? My understanding is that there is one front and one rear recommended jacking point, yielding one fixed measurement...which is exactly what I am still trying to learn for the 718 Spyder
The measurements I took are to the front and back of the jackpoint area. You are correct that there is a center location in the jackpoint meaning there is one true dimension. However the QJ is just a pad without a mating pin to the car. Therefore the range is what I give and that method aligns with what the QJ site recommends for determining fit. When I use my QJ I will personally ensure it aligns with the center!

I rashly presume that the Spyder jackpoints are exactly the same as for my 718 CGTS. I can't guarantee it though.

Yes, that's an awful idea.
