The incentive is to get the FI-R produced which isnt available anywhere globally. We are working w BBS to make this happen. The price is already lower than 20” FI-R like GT3 which is $9390 which we fought not to change the price of the GT4 sets to even if it meant less profits for us and less discount. Anyways, thanks for your input. Hope this clarifies.

But isn't there more meat on the GT3 version, 9x20 & 12x20, versus these here? Plus different mounting. Not sure this was a 100% apples to apples comparison.

It actually is a perfect comparison but here is aome more info dor you

The discount is 10% more for all the other FI-R wheels for BBS Distributors in comparison to the GT4. These wheels come out of the motor sport program not the street program. They are actually going through Manthey Racing which is what makes them cost more but BBS keeps they price lower for you guys by taking discount away from their distributors and making the sale price lower.

5 lug FI-R 5x130 20x9 and 20x11.5 is $9130
5 lug FI-R 5x120 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 is $9130
GT3 set 20x9 and 20x12 is $9390
GT3RS set 20x9.5 and 21x12.5 is $10340

OK, tanx. Too bad PAG, err Manthey didn't go with 9x20 on the front for the GT4. Same as GT3 with same size front tire.

I couldn’t agree more! A 20 x 9 would’ve been sweet. This is what happens when Porsche owns Manthey Racing. They can’t undermine the Porsche engineers

I have no references on how group buy works. All I knew was no inventory and need 6+ sets to get production going (I trust Eric so I have not shopped anywhere else). If there’s additional discount to be had, I will ask Eric to equally apply to all committed buyers. I would like to get the wheels as soon as possible and am not particularly price sensitive. Nothing to hide or gain here. I would also like to support @SupremePower as I would like to have them around for future needs.

Misunderstood the intent of the group buy was to get production started as when I typically see "group buy" I was thinking of a good discount. Don't need new rims right now, just motivated by potential discount. Good luck with your group buy, but I'm out.

Thanks, sorry for not providing more clarity up front.

@Nickshu What's your color and finish preference?

All, hopefully it’s now clear that discount is not the main objective of this group buy (sorry to disappoint). For those wanting these wheels for their GT4 or Spyder, these are likely one of the best wheels in terms of weight, strength, fitment, and quality (if not THE best).

Who is in?
