Has anyone taken this option in the configurator? What type of material is the lining replaced with?

I would think it's simply the fabric you'd get in a 718. Is there a particular reason you'd want to delete it from the roof?

No I was just curious, IIRC my 2015 Cayman S had it as the liner and I was wondering what type of material it is replaced with. I think my old 944 had a harder formed material (not fabric) as the liner.

Switching from the black Race-Tex to the fabric lining is desirable to folks who want to match their non-black dashboards and interiors, I think.

The alternate lining is the same color as the interior, not black.
