GT4 Clubsport at Spa
Just returned from a 2 day Master GT4 training event at Spa driving a GT4 Clubsport Competition. Car, instructor, pit crew, garage and 3 sets of tires to burn provided by Porsche.
Impressive car. Awfully slow in a straight-line (time to make an espresso and drink it down Kemmel Straight) but absolutely awesome grip and speed through the corners combined with unbelievable stopping power under brakes. I am now a believer in the saying that once you have experience a race car on slicks there is no going back...to the extent that I am now shopping for one. Some photos from the day.

Nice
How much did it cost if you don't mind?
Pic with the car up on the jacks shows a transport tire tire or was that a rain slick?

Looks like a great time. Hopefully someday they will offer this level here at one of the US tracks. The Birmingham facility stops short of this.
Cheers!

Looks awesome!
How is the PDK from the 718 GT4 Clubsport in comparison to the PDK of the GT3RS?
A representative from Manthey Racing had mentioned that the 718 GT4 CS essentially was running street engine and gearbox parts (without 7th gear), so would this be a preview of what the PDK will eventually be like for the GT4?
Thanks again for sharing.

Nice reading! Much better feel/fun and faster than 991.2 RS with CupR?

Ohhhh this is definitely on the bucket list!
Do they require some prior experience/training or racing license? Public or private day?
Great pictures.

Yes, you require previous experience such as having at least completed the Master GT training course in a GT car. It’s a private two days put on by Porsche. There were only 5 cars. 3 x GT3 Cup cars and 2 x GT4 Clubsports. So lots of empty track.

Looks like fun. So the slicks used were michelin? How did you like them? how many heat cycles did you go before changing? Also were you using Cosworth data and analysis or other system? Thanks!

According to PMNA the CS uses the PDK from the base (2.7) 981 Cayman. The top gear is electronically excluded.
