I tried to lease a loaner fleet Macan from my dealer, and their lease offers were terrible. My SA was almost apologizing for the lousy purchase price, residual and MF... I tried explaining point by point that it was a lousy lease, but they didn't seem to care. We walked next door to the sister Audi dealership and leased a brand new Q5 Premier Plus package at a good price and rate that gave my wife most of what she wanted and needed. We would have preferred the Macan, but couldn't justify the beating they were attempting to put on us....

As an end of era NA petrol car and arguably one of the best sports cars ever made, leasing is a tough sell. I suppose you have option to buy out at end of lease but it’s a blue chip purchase of a car right now and you’ll pay more in the long run even if leasing and buying out. I think desirable gas cars are poised to explode in value, Porsche or otherwise. If I had a massive stockpile of cash I would be buying iconic gas powered cars en mass.

Having leased my DD through the business, a first Porsche lease for me. The residuals are woefully low, this so the dealer can make a handsome sum upon resale. Rates are typically lousy. However in the past year, there have been sub 5% interest rates due to slow sales. However that was last year, this year cars are flying off the lots (popular models anyway).
