I saw a 992 cabriolet recently in GB in overcast conditions, the color was very disappointing ... not at all like it photographs particularly in artificial lighting ...

Respectfully though, what paint colors are improved by overcast conditions?

that's true, my point was (albeit subjectively) that many of the photos of GBM do not necessarily give a true rendition of its actual hue & color ... its *much* darker than it appears especially when photographed in artificial
light ... YMMV...

I agree. GB is very variable, and also difficult to accurately picture
Congrats on the new GT4, it looks fantastic.
Love this pic with the E46 M3
How does Gentian look in person?
It really shows well in pics, just wondered how similar it looks in person.
The pictures do a decent job of showing it. Looks just like it underneath bright lights like the pics in my warehouse and under regular sunlight its pretty much a deep navy blue with almost a bit of san marino blue when the light hits it just right

You are right, the artificial lighting changes the color a lot. Under sunlight its mainly a shade of navy blue, but at certain spots it does show that bright blue. I think the lines of the 718 show off the color a little better than a 992, but I wouldn't totally recommend buying the color without seeing it in person and outside.
Just took delivery of my 718 GT4, which happens to be my first porsche! Only took a few quick photos so far. Car just got back from ppf and I'm going to ceramic coat it this weekend. Also love the way Gentian blue looks on this car; typically I don't like blue cars with red accents, but I think it works well with gentian. Really happy with how the car drives so far, can't wait to get it out on the track!
Nice lambo.
Is that shipping wrap on the door sills? CF sills?

After much debate I went with the GR Spyder. Your GB GT4 looks just amazing.
Looks awesome GT4Nick! HUGE congrats!!! Post a follow up after you've some miles on it...until then, how's it sound?!
Will do! the exhaust is ok for now. It is really quiet until 5000rpms. Still not loud, but it has a good tone. I also just like hearing the engine so much since its right behind your head
Your spyder looks great too! I typically don't like red cars, but GR on the first gen GT4 softened me up to it. Looks great with your spec!
Thanks GT4Nick,
I was not a fan of red cars until I got my 991.2 GT3 in Corsa Rosso. When I sold it to get the 997.2 RS the red on the RS wheels grew on me. So I took a chance with the GR Spyder. I tried speccing out all the colors they offered and the GR simply stuck!
It sounds amazing and the gear and transmission is smooth as molasses. Quite a contrast to the 7.2RS.
