The little washer fluid nubbins on the front bumper probably disrupt more air than mirror winglets. And the reason Porsche doesn't fix the mirror issue is aesthetics; the winglets don't look good.
When Porsche designs the car with aerodynamics in mind, it's with the windows closed. So when your windows are closed, the winglets are not needed but if you have them mounted, they're still deflecting and disrupting air as it passes over the side window and ultimately towards the rear of the car. Little winglets can affect air a lot. That's is why on some rear spoilers, you'll see a small gurney flap because it helps the air separate from the car, which helps with aerodynamics and drag.

I doubt the washer nipples disrupt the air towards the rear of the car or even to the side windows for Porsche to truly say that they need to be removed. ...and yes, I do agree the winglets/deflectors are ugly but so are the washer nipples but they included them anyways and left off the winglets where they would actually have provided a benefit (at least to those people that drive with their windows down.) As far as the washer nipples, we all are required to have them because they come packaged. We all know the day that Porsche makes those washer nipple an extra cost option, they will never see those optioned out again on any of their cars.

On the track with the top up and both windows down, no buffeting at all at 200kph👍
