Default Does anyone have experience with the aluminum pedals?

I'm concerned they may be slick when wet ... or did Porsche solve that with the nano coating?

He sure did, thanks. I'll just leave that 540$ box unticked.

I didn't want them specced, but the car I picked out from a dealership lot had them. I was initially worried about the same thing as you were: but they actually have a rougher coating on the touch points of the pedals that make them a lot less slick than you'd expect them to be.

That being said, I have not heavily used my car yet when it's wet outside and my shoes are wet. I imagine my opinion may change a little bit

A buddy of mine has them, he said never gain. Only good for a few years as they loose grip over time. YMMV

Depends how much you use them. Also, if this does become an issue, it is very easy to apply grip tape or adhesive backed rubber pads to the pedals

I think it's something that each has his own take so you just have to get your 1st hand experience to decide.

Agree completely, however people are trying to make a decision on whether to order the option, and getting experience beforehand for a rare option on a rare car isn't likely going to be possible.

That's why I really think it is important for this community to share as much information as possible in general. I have the aluminum pedals and like the very direct feel, especially in terms of modulating fine movements with the clutch. It is subtle, course, but still noticeable. There is also the ever present aesthetic factor which, for me, is important.

Just get some pedals from SRP for like $200 and drill them in. Thank me later
Tons of designs to choose from also

Had them on my 2016 Cayman. Doesn't look all that good, and gets slippery plus seems to attract dirt.
Never ordering them again.

I originally had them on my order, but after talking to a friend that has them on his 981 Spyder, he recommended not getting them. Removed them from my car and the dealer actually said it was a wise choice to do so.

This video does a great job telling you what's what with the alum pedals, good call @rooster17 . It's actually new information for me and how they're built and why they aren't the greatest.

I had them on my 16 GT4 and didn't care for them. My experience was they were slippery when wet.

Oh snap. Didn't realize that the aluminum pedal option was a fit-over instead of a solid attachment to the levers. I guess I will not be getting this option.
