Is there any word yet on whether the 718 GT4/Spyder are equipped with the standard PDK or the PDK-S used in the GT3/GT2 RS? My Spyder is coming in a manual; the standard PDK is not particularly interesting to me on a car like this, but the PDK-S could be a different story...

I too would love to know the answer to this. I'm think the GTS 4.0 cars will have regular PDK. I would hope and expect the GT4RS to have PDK-S.
The real question is the GT4 and Spyder. I would hope the GT4 gets PDK-S like the GT3 has PDK-S. And if the GT4 gets PDK-S, then you would think the Spyder would as well since these recent versions were both developed by the Porsche GT department
On the other hand, Porsche has left the entire 981/718 range, including the previous GT4 with an inferior transmission for years compared to the lower geared and more durable manual in the 991.2 GT3, GT3T and 911R, so there is still a chance that PAG will save PDK-S for the 911 based GT cars, and not a single 718 based car will be endowed with PDK-S.
Hard to know at this stage. I would love to hear from a 918 owner, CJ, or Chris 3693, who always seem to have excellent info on future cars.
