Satin platinum. It looks odd in the configurator, so for a long time I didn’t consider it, but I think it looks amazing in real life and in pictures.
Also, for the record, all these colors look good, and the driving experience is amazing. I spent so much time agonizing before the lock (it’s part of the fun, in a way). After the car arrived, I realized I would have loved it in any of the variations I considered.

Porsches are, for the most part, just NOT pretty cars. Purposeful? Yes. Menacing? Sometimes, yes. Aggressive looking? Sometimes, yes. But let's face it, they have suffered exceedingly from a German sense of design aesthetic: industrial and functional. Never have they produced anything which caresses your eyes like many Ferrari's, Masers, and certainly not like Aston Martins. They got away with fat-a$$es on their 911s as their sole attempt at "good looking." They had a Porsche design studio in a local upscale mall a while back. I went in WANTING to find something that appealed. Blech. Nope. They went out of business.
But the spyder, and especially the 718 spyder...it's like they slipped up and let the Italian intern design a car for them. There is no bad angle on the car. It is sculpted and proportioned and flowing and just flippin gorgeous; top up OR down. Name another Porsche non-super car or high end 911 that you could get away with publicly saying "best looking Porsche ever built" and not get laughed off the stage. That you can say that about "the entry level Porsche" and not be immediately crucified as a heretic says it all. A jumped-up Boxster now rules them all, aesthetically, and somehow I landed one in my garage. lol AND it has a 4L NA, MT, GT brakes and suspension! I bet somewhere Ferdinand is smiling.
Feeling "lucky" doesn't begin to describe it.
Whatever else AP designs / produces, the GT4 / spyder (and RS variants) will be his crowning achievements, IMO. He unleashed the platform to be what it could be (mechanically), and took them beyond what other Porsches have achieved (aesthetically).

I beg to differ. I had a black 1971 911T that was beautiful. My wife's and my 2019 991.2 911 C2 was also beautiful. Pete Stout's Brewster Green 991.2 911 C2 is absolutely gorgeous. The 991.2 GT3 was also gorgeous (the 992 GT3 not so much). And that's just to name a few. But YMMV. Certainly the 718 Spyder is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, by anyone.
God bless you,

YMMV is obviously the law of the land on any assessment based purely on the senses. Was just giving my take, and in no way was seeking to invalidate anyone else's preferences.
