Visibility out of Spyder
For those who now have their Spyders, how is the visibility from the driver's seat to the rear quarters and rear, especially with the top up?
God bless,

I actually found it to be better than what I had thought. The actual field of view out the small rear window was the same as in my 981 Cayman GTS, and the blind spots to the side rear are not really any different than many other sports car convertibles. You can not expect the visibility to be great when buying this type of car to begin with.

Personally I never look back to see who is chasing me!

I am talking about a blind spot that a small car can completely disappear, not bikes.

note that you can get aspherical driving mirrors that do "help" with blind spots, I have one on the drivers side of my '15 GTS Cab

It’s no different than the 981 Spyder (Has the exact same roof and boot)... the Boot Humps are awesome looking, but they block rear three quarter view... in fact all Spyders do... it’s the nature of the design with humps. It’s no biggie though, As mentioned it’s just a matter of adjusting your mirrors properly.

In the 981 Spyder there was a definitely a blind spot that required leaning forward and or looking up and over the hump.

How about never drive the car with the top up? Should never be out in the rain anyways!
I came from another car with a big blind spot (s2000), over time I got used to it and adjusted accordingly.

The Spyder still has a blind spot with the top down, unless you’re seven feet tall.
