Personally prefer LED headlamps on all my cars for better visibility at night. On the Porsche, its the 4 dot drl which looks nice and modern for me... but HID’s are fine too... just not the base halogens for an already expensive car. 😊

I reluctantly specced PDLS because I want brighter lights that can follow curves. Almost went with base because I hate the headlamp washer warts.

Has anyone found a way to remove the warts? Can you remove the washer assembly and replace the protruding nozzles with flat / flush inserts?

I also went with the PDLS for better illumination at night. The warts aren't very nice especially since I have never used them for actually cleaning, but I'll just leave them. If you want to remove yours and cover the holes, you can probably find something here: https://www.bumperplugs.com/index.ph...gory&path=1_11

LED lights are a easy design cue for other manufactures to copy unfortunately.

Off topic, but in regards to the headlights, are they sealed or are the lenses easily removable/easy to take housing apart? Thinking of painting the chrome projector housing on the base Xenons.

Do the LEDs give superior illumination over the Zenon HIDs I chose with my GTS 4.0? Can you actually see further down the road with them? I'd love to see some proof of that.

I haven't driven a 718 at night with either headlight configuration, but my Cayenne has the PDLS+ LEDs which I've owned for over 70,000 miles. I've also driven many, many other Cayennes with the Xenons (friends cars, service loaners) and I can tell you the LED is a MASSIVE difference. For that reason alone, LED was a "must" for my Spyder build. In fact if I had to give up every option but one? LEDs would be the one I would keep.
