Don't have a GT4 on order, but I've been following this thread thinking it might give me some insight into when I might get my 992. Has been sitting in Emden since March. Am a Canadian.

Just got word from my dealer that it likely won't ship from Emden until early June. Just thought I would post here for any fellow Canadians anticipating their P cars.

 

Thx for the intel leaf345. Your 992 is parked in good company and I think you maybe right on the next boat heading our way. Tracking boats since shut down and looking at several builds across models for Canucks it looks like P needs more cars to make a stop in Halifax which end of May beginning of June keeps coming up. Since we are almost there now with May ticking by fast and RoRo's once again sitting off Emden and not loading it says something. If you get anymore from your SA please pass it on Thx.

 

All good to know and makes sense, even under normal times it seem that Canadian cars sit for sometimes 3-4 weeks or more waiting to be loaded on a ship bound for Halifax, since the breaking news in January regarding Covid-19 I am sure that new car orders have declined a bit only making it tougher to gather up the desired number of cars from all VAG groups coming to Canada.

For those with cars already completed an unfortunate wait, for those completing now or about to complete a chance to get their car here this summer.

I have no excuse now for not have a clean spot in the garage to park that Spyder...

 

I need to start thinking about fixing my driveway... I think there is too much of a gap between the pavement and my garage such that it will scrap like crazy... #firstworldproblems

 

Hey Leaf345, thanks for sharing the info. By any chance do you know how your dealer arrived at the early June estimate for a Canada bound vessel? Im asking because my dealer is so far only able to do screenshots from their system which has not been updated for my car for 2 months. Wondering if some dealers are more resourceful?

 

If it helps Titan475, I am in the same situation old screen still no new updates. I think some still might be seeing the same hence dates are???right now.

 

Thanks Fastrkman, yeah I guess a lot of us are in the same situation. I just find the lack of updates (even a rough forecast) more disappointing than the delay itself tbh.

 

I hear ya on the updates, I don't even have an SA to ask have to hit up the SM. I kvetched about this on another thread, P should be doing more I think. It bummed me when my SA hit me back after an update enquire saying he was terminated. Thought maybe I would have got an update to help with the..ahhh sorry to hear who should I talk to now So not hoping for more at this point as far as updates go. Fellow RL members have been better sources TBH so far.

 

So....when will the PWL Group website be updated next? Apparently my car just arrived to Emden today. I'm in the DC area, so wondering what/when my car will shop on/by....

 

No one really knows, they used to update it on a regular basis, there has not been an update since early March...

 

He did not say. It did not sound like this was through an update in the system, more so that he had been told by someone (I assume at Porsche Canada) that the plan was to start shipping vehicles to Canada in early June.

 

OK then, who here knows the cleaning lady at Porsche Cars Canada?

 

Sorry that you guys are continuing to wait . I got confirmation a week and a half ago that, indeed, my car was 100% on the Goodwood and they drove it on rather than flew it on.


After some misinformation regarding PEC deliveries, I will be picking up my car on the 19th of June at the PEC in Atlanta. I'll post some pictures but it will be straight to the detailer for PPF and coating so I won't have impressions for a couple weeks after. Hope you guys find out soon! Cant wait to see my Brothers in Emden's builds in actual pictures vs configurators!

 

Gents, I heard from my SA the Mediterranean Highway will deliver to Halifax. Scheduled to arrive in Emden May 25th
