USA Arrivals Happening Soon!
#16
Given the current Corona environment and the factory shutdowns being reported, I was expecting to hear of another lengthy delivery delay. Just inquired with my dealer and my car is built and at the port awaiting a boat. Scheduled for a mid-April arrival at dealer in Ohio. I was also asking about what would happen to my deposit if i wanted to "transfer" to another buyer. They said it's not transferable and I'd forfeit deposit. Just thought I'd inquire as I see my net worth plunging by the day! I'd better get busy selling a 981 GT4!

Jvmax love your painted interior. Looks fabulous in Gentian.
In regards to the black Porsche up above delivered to Colorado, don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me with the small phone but it looks like there is a lot of wheel arch gap. I assume ride height is adjustable?

Congrats! So awesome that these cars are showing up. Question regarding your interior...it looks like you went with painted trim in exterior color. There looks to be a little Gentian Blue surrounding the window switches on the passenger door. Is that part of the interior painted option? I'm asking because I did that option on my GT Silver GT4.

I am amazed that people are getting cars now. I placed a deposit last summer as soon as I could and my car wasn't due to arrive until May 29 (now June 19). And this is with a fairly high volume dealer outside Boston.

(a) Fail to execute a written brokering agreement, as described in Section 11738 , and provide a completed copy to both of the following:

The completed copy shall be provided prior to the consumer's signing of an agreement for the purchase of the vehicle described in the brokering agreement or, prior to accepting one hundred dollars ($100) or more from that consumer, whichever occurs first.
(2) The selling dealer. The completed copy shall be provided prior to the selling dealer's entering into a purchase agreement with the consumer.
(b) Accept a purchase deposit from any consumer that exceeds 2.5 percent of the selling price of the vehicle described in the brokering agreement.
(c) Fail to refund any purchase money, including purchase deposits, upon demand by a consumer at any time prior to the consumer's signing of a vehicle purchase agreement with a selling dealer and taking delivery of the vehicle described in the brokering agreement.

I've ordered multiple cars and dealers confirm this every time. it's why the deposits here for an ordered car are typically between $5,000-$10,000. it weeds out a lot of people and you're probably serious barring any extreme circumstances if you're willing to tie up $10,000 for 4 months. but no, they absolutely cannot keep your money if you don't take possession of the car.
