Default Track day - Guadix Cirquit Spain

I just my first track days in GT4 (and just 3rd track day in my life).
So i only can share my impression, as a newbie (i am off-road driver, driving a Can-Am X3 mostly), so i come to race track from completely different world.
The car just feels very well balanced, have a lot of grip, a lot of down force and etc. But all that we already know.
Circuit was quite short, so everyone said that this car is just perfect for it and it really was... I can't keep up with 911 Cup or Lambo Super Trofeo, but this cars from are from different dimension, but i "destroyed" Alpine A110 and keep up with first 981 GT4 with much more experienced driver behind the steering wheel.
Just maybe the gearing feels little long, the whole circuit i done in 2nd and 3rd gears...
In some corners i really wanted to use 1st gear, but the guy with 981 GT4 said probably i don't drive fast enough So here is the question, do we need to use a 1st gear? Just saw a video of Mark Weber in GTS 4.0, he don't use it... But i give my GT4 to one of the best pilots in the world (he was there with us and i will ask his permission if i can use his name) and later in a videos i saw that he was using 1st gear... So i am confused.

Later i will upload some videos.

As for the exhaust, for me it sounds good, but yes feels a bit muffled if you compare with 981 on a track... But still a good sounding car.
Still feel adrenaline in my veins and done about 200 laps totally, so i was a champion by the ltr of burned gasoline

Thanks! I really in love with that car.

My wife said looks like you love this car more than me, so i said if you scream when you angry will sound similar to the scream of that car at 8000 rpm, i will love you much more also

I've done several track days in my current 981 GTS which has the same gearing. Pretty much in 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time with a rare 4th gear shift on the straight away only to downshift pretty quick. I only use 1st gear to enter the track. I think you'd probably go slower downshifting to 1st through a corner only to upshift again to 2nd.

Whether you need to grab 1st gear on track will depend on the circuit itself - hard to say without knowing it. Hope you get to enjoy the car at many more track days!
