Default Ramifications of no true dry sump

When comparing the new C8 (dry sump) to the 718 GT4 (integrated dry sump), which car will be more durable over lengthy track sessions, I.e. several hours?

How much of a disadvantage will the GT4 experience, especially during high speed cornering? Any possible concerns about damage to the engine?

As an aside, one of the main concerns I have about the Vette is its large size and bloated weight.
Not so much with the GT4

981 had the same engine setup and is very reliable on track. The Corvette is brand new so nobody really knows yet. But if GM history is anything to go by on their previous 'track capable' promise ..................

Thanks, MB.

The 981 is reliable, no doubt.
I can see the 718 being the same, possibly better.

I wonder if the 4RS will have the dry sump.

The GT4 Clubsport is similarly integrated dry-sump and used for actual racing...

I use Pirelli DHs and so far haven had any problem at the track....of course our tracks don't have fast/long corners or banking like at Daytona.
But as mentioned the 9A1 has been very reliable and expect the new 9A2 EVO to be the same
I agree with ExMB on this one....the new C8 sound tempting but I would give the GM product some time as they have fallen short before on the track aspect......
