Smile '15 GT3 or stay on the early list for '20 GT4?

A cherry GT3 has become avail with less than 5k miles. Price is north of the MSRP I'm looking at for the GT4, but is well equipped. Pretty much how I would've spec'd it. I KNOW this is a subjective question and I'm opening myself up for flames comparing, but know in advance I'm a noob to Porsches yet however an older enthusiast. aka, past the half century in age mark lol. It will just be an occasional weekend 'toy' & a couple visits to the track otherwise otherwise it'll be in the garage, not a DD. I've been a long time fan of GT3s, yet love the idea of having a newer tech car. I've vascillated on manual vs PDK so i'm 50/50 on either trans. I just want a fun "tear up the hill country roads" road rocket that handles like a slot car. I've ridden in GT3s/GT3RS' so I know what they're capable of. Either of these machines will provide this kind of thrill. YOU folks are much more versed and have owned/own various Porsche models so I value your input. Thank you in advance

Must ask yourself manual vs PDK? If you can’t answer that question yourself, then no one can help you with the rest.

Completely different experiences.

I love both and either is not a game changer. Perhaps I didn't clarify that well enough. My apologies!

That is rare, but if you truly loved both transmissions then get the GT3. Engine and power is much more special than GT4, you’ll still have the ten year engine warranty until 2025, and GT3 already went through steep part of depreciation curve.

Thank you for the replies! My wife is an advocate for the GT4 so staying on for that. gtr, that'd be AWESOME! However, finances dictate the GT4 is in order And I'm sure it sounds weird about my position on trans, but I grew up driving manuals and did so for many years until I'd a M3 with DCT. I see great value in a manual as well as PDK so as odd is it may seem, neither is a deal breaker for me. If the car was to be a DD then different story.
-Cheers!
