Finally my new black GT4

Porsche has a very specific price/perf target. You've probably seen the graphs posted before. The best GT4RS would have a GT3 engine which is simply not happening. It's not as though Porsche isn't able to produce a multi-link rear suspension since there are aftermarket options. I'm one who would eagerly pay GT3 money for a GT4RS that had the GT3 engine and was 6MT (I'd even pay the PDK charge to get 6MT as a "free" option!). Not going to happen.

Yes, easy. Unplug the vacc lines to the actuators and plug the ends. Definitely much better but still needs work, such as a GPF bypass. Well at least for me.
The cars are very similar but the GT4 is a bit quicker in a straight line. The massive advantage for the 987.2 is running the ultra soft rubber (A050) which is only available in Australia or Japan. A050 are the best bare none, even better than slicks but can overheat after one lap. Imagine if you did AutoX in the US and imported these tyres yourself, you would go from mid field to the top in one step.

The satin black PORSCHE with the silver Spyder is perfect on the black car.
More pics?

At the dealer, my black Spyder was close to a GT silver Speedster...honestly, based on looks only the price difference makes no sense to me

Anybody else hearing a strangle rattle or ting ting sound when gently pressing on the accel? Sort of a bit like a diesel sound but less and sort of goes away but not completely after 10 minutes.

So far I am loving it with the exception of exhaust sound. However, unplugging the valves and leaving them open all time helps a lot.
It’s a real sports car...firm suspension but not bouncy, I drove 3h non-stop in the LWB seats and my back was perfectly fine (I have a herniated disc and I am 200lbs). Steering is perfect (not too heavy), clutch is lovely (not too tight) and manual gearbox is heaven! Torque curve is better than previous model and power comes smoothly and naturally.
I am having fun under 4500 rpm...it feels more mature than previous GT4 and more serious than previous Spyder. It is also dead gorgeous!!
No regrets at all!
if you’re looking for a daily driver I would recommend normal seats in the Spyder or a 992 cab. If it’s a weekend and fun car, I would pick the GT4 of Spyder anytime.
I won’t do videos (I believe it’s not helpful unless done by a professional and I am not).
