Default 718 base issues with conversion to gt4 bumper

The GT4 bumper (from Flat 6) got painted and mounted OK. However, there are no holes nor brackets for the front parking sensors on the gt4 bumper.

This is causing all kinds of problems such as the rear bumper sensor showing an error on reverse and the roof parking sensor light keeps flashing.

Question:
Does anyone know how to auto/decode the front bumper sensors to suppress this?

Thanks,
John

Per Flat 6 Porsche specialist:
Hi John,

In our personal experience, we have only done conversions that keep the front sensors intact. In your case, you will need to alter the option in the Vehicle Maintenance Data menu using a Porsche PIWIS or equivalent tool, such as a Launch or Durametric that is capable of 2-way CAN communication. Once you select the option in that menu for non- parking sensors, like a regular GT4, you then need to auto-code the vehicle so that it no longer throws the errors. The only other option is to have the sensors installed properly in the bumper, but I know this is not an ideal situation.
Rennlist may have some additional instructions with pictures from people that have done this conversion. I'm sorry to say we have not personally gone down this road. I will assist in anyway I can.

Thanks,

You probably can code it out with a PIWIS or Launch X431. My bumper kit came from Bayson and included front sensor brackets. I swapped over the sensors from the factory bumper

wonder what effect that may have on aero and handling? back in the day if you added a front lip to an 80s 911 then a tail was mandatory or you would have all sorts of aero issues.
