Do NOT Use TWL Carbon
My Experience with TWL Carbon — A Warning to Fellow Enthusiasts
I rarely post negative experiences, but my situation with TWL Carbon has left me no choice. I’ve previously praised them for producing great carbon fiber products and had their pieces on my GTS 4.0 with no issues. Naturally, I decided to go with them again for my GT4 RS “Weissach Lite” build and ordered their side scoops, air intakes, and engine cover.
I dropped the product off at my Porsche dealership to have it installed before taking delivery. After spending significant technician time trying to install it, the dealership informed me that the carbon fiber air intakes and engine cover were warped and appeared to be part of a “bad batch.” They provided me with written statements and video confirming the poor quality and improper fitment.
Hoping it could still work, I mentioned this to my PPF shop, who frequently handle these kinds of installs. After dropping off my car, they reached out the next day with the same conclusion: the product was not a fit and had significant gaps everywhere. They also took videos to show how bad the fit was.
At this point, two highly reputable shops — including a Porsche dealership — had spent hours trying to make it work with no success. I reached out to TWL Carbon, providing them with the videos and feedback from both shops. They admitted it didn’t look right and asked me to ship the product back to Taiwan — which I did at my own expense for $300.
TWL stated in writing that they would issue a refund as soon as they received the product — something they later admitted to saying. However, once they got the product back, they claimed they conducted their own tests, determined that everything was fine, and refused to issue a refund. Instead, they offered to send the product back to me — if I paid for shipping.
I made it clear that the only acceptable resolution was to refund my money, as they had promised. They refused. I’m now out over $3,000 and will be filing a reverse charge with my credit card company.
DO NOT use TWL Carbon. Mistakes happen — that’s not the issue. The issue is how a company responds when things go wrong. TWL Carbon has shown they have no intention of standing by their product or supporting their customers when quality issues arise. There are plenty of other carbon fiber manufacturers out there — I’d strongly recommend exploring other options.
I've attached the videos and transcripts showing the poor fitment and TWL’s own admission that a refund was promised but not honored. Hopefully, this helps others avoid the same frustration.

Update. TWL was getting raked over the coals in the 718 forum. TWL issued me an apology and said they dropped the ball. They are sending me new parts back at no charge for me to review. Stay tuned!
