Default Some cosmetic mods done to the interior of my 2018 Carmine Red GTS...

Instrument cluster, air vents, Sports Chrono clock and Mode selector Switch started life like this in my car.

Only the tach was Carmine Red.

All four air vents were finished in a polished aluminium finish, as was the the Sports Chrono clock. This I found annoying because they reflected into the windshield.

The Sports Chrono had a black facia and its bezel the aluminium type finish.

Here we have the OE Mode Selector Switch made of plastic in its typical black finish.

So starting out with the instrument cluster, I wanted the speedometer to match the tach's Carmine Red colour... Found a source that made replacement facias for the cluster but I decided to order both the tach and speedometer to make sure the Carmine Red matched. As you can see the OE Carmine Red tach on the left was a different shade than the after market one.

Now I decided to have all the bezels for the four air vents painted satin black to get rid of their reflections in the windshield. I also did the Sports Chrono's bezel.

Centre air vents with their satin black bezels.

Sports Chrono... I could have asked the same supplier to make me a facia for it and it would have been a lot cheaper but I found a brand new in the box OE Carmine Red Sports Chrono on the market and bought it... It of course came with its aluminium finished bezel which was also painted satin black.

Centre air vents with new carmine red Sports Chrono with their satin black bezels.

Finally last week a supplier released an aluminium made Mode selector Switch for my model Cayman GTS... They have several colours available one of which is Carmine Red.

A general view of the mods.

I hate chrome, so I really dig what you did with the bezels! Nice job! Chrome was cool until the '70s. I simply loathe chrome on modern cars.

You can say that again. But you know what I hate even more? Freaking 'piano black' plastic. It scratches just by looking at it the wrong way.

Those are nice touches, well done! I wonder how much CF trim pieces would be for the vent/sports chrono surrounds...

So far in my research I have not found any that do CF trims/bezels for the Sports Chrono and air vents.

However there is a company in Germany that does make the complete air vents in CF but the four of them will cost something like $2K.

Have you considered the carmine red ignition switch?

Thanks for the find but not for me. I'll focus more on Carbon Fibre parts next.
