Thumbs down Winter Set for my GT4RS

The day I picked up my car I placed an order for a Cold Weather Package for my GT4RS

The wheels installed with snow tires arrived after about two weeks from Germany and had Michelin Snows that were manufactured in January 2021

I don't understand how Porsche would sell a guy who just purchased a 2024 RS, tires manufactured over three years old!

What are you guys doing for winter driving of this car?

My guess is you're probably the first GT4RS owner to drive that car in winter. Ha ha. But that'd be totally unacceptable to me too. I'd demand a refund, order them from TireRack (or a similar place) if needed, and send them directly to the dealer for installation. And ask first, to make sure they're not older than a year, at the most. Good luck.

I had winter tires ordered for my 4RS to be installed upon delivery back in December 2022. I never checked, but when doing the inspection upon me selling the car, found out the installed winter tires were well closer to 5 years old! I put a couple thousand miles on them with no issue...you'll be fine if they were stored properly. But yeah, understand why you'd be annoyed.

I did not accept the set as-is and the dealer stated that they were going to get back to Porsche to see what Porsche can do ...its been a few days and jury is still out

Kudos to you for winter driving your GT4RS!

I plan to winter drive my GTS 4.0! These cars need to be enjoyed!

I ended up buying winter wheels second hand and am getting my own tires replaced. I refuse to pay those dealer rates for wheels/tires.. and I'd definitely fight on those ancient tires too. 2 years might be ok but 3 is really pushing it.

Let us know what Porsche does for you in the end.
