718 GTS 4.0 Tune
I am seeking a tune for my essentially stock 2022 BGTS 4.0 6 speed.
I need assistance evaluating these modern plug and play engine modifications, as my experience is somewhat old-fashioned:
We rebuilt my '73 911E to 210HP 2.7RS specs so it shot flames out the exhaust, chipped my '84 Euro Carrera for a little extra scoot, and added Uni-Q to my TPS intercooled, supercharged '95 993 C4 for a claimed 410HP.
What I have learned so far regarding options for my 4 liter Boxster:
Softronic claims 440HP/346TQ for $1495. Reviews are positive, but performance increases are reported as subtle.
M-Engineering shows 369WHP/275TQ for $2495. They also offered me an additional 10-15 WHP with a custom hub-dyno tune for ~$1600 extra, if I sign a release. Reviews are generally excellent.
APR claims 459HP/347TQ on 93 AKI for $2500. They also report additional built-in engine safeguards and include a powertrain warranty similar to Porsche's. Reviews are generally excellent.
I need someone to help me cut through the marketing BS and choose a strong safe tune for my car.
I'm older now and not quite as crazy as I used to be, but I know Porsche left some easy HP on the table, and I feel this engine may have some significant juice left in it.
Any input is solicited and appreciated.
Thanks!

Save your money.
You won't get much tuning a NA engine.
Also, you should repost this in the right sub-forum here ---> https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...niversary-255/

I did not think tunes were worth getting for N/A cars. Turbo cars on the other hand, sure...but not N/A.

There are lengthy technical discussion threads on all the 4.0 tunes you referenced in the 4.0 sub-forum.
Read those existing threads, bump if you still have questions.
